Privacy for ToolPikz PDF Tools
Learn how ToolPikz PDF Tools handles PDFs, browser processing, libraries, downloads, and contact form data.
PDF processing
The standard PDF tools on this site are designed to process files in the browser whenever the selected operation can be performed reliably by the browser libraries. The normal workflow does not send those PDFs to a ToolPikz server.
Third-party libraries
The application loads PDF.js, pdf-lib, and JSZip from pinned public CDN URLs when their functionality is needed. Those libraries are downloaded by your browser; their use is governed by their respective providers and licenses.
Local browser data
The application does not require a ToolPikz account or server-side PDF storage for the normal tools. Temporary browser memory is used while a document is open. Downloaded results are saved by your browser according to your browser settings.
Password tools
Password protection and unlocking may use an optional PHP endpoint backed by qpdf on hosts where qpdf is installed. When used, the selected PDF is temporarily processed by the server and should not be described as browser-only.
Contact form
Messages submitted through the contact form are intended to be sent to the configured contact email. If mail transport is not configured on the hosting account, the form reports the configuration error instead of showing a false success message.

This page describes the application's intended processing behavior and may be updated when the implementation or third-party services change.
