Terms covering user responsibility, PDF compatibility, generated files, external services, and limitations.
User responsibility
Use the tools only with documents you are authorized to access, modify, convert, or share. You are responsible for retaining original copies when they matter.
Generated files
PDF transformations are performed by browser and PDF libraries and can vary with document structure. Review important generated documents before relying on them.
Password-protected documents
The unlock feature is for documents whose password you legitimately know. It does not provide password cracking or bypassing unknown passwords.
Compatibility
No PDF implementation can guarantee perfect compatibility with every PDF feature, embedded font, annotation type, form, signature, encryption scheme, or malformed document.
External services and libraries
The site may load open-source PDF libraries from public CDNs and may optionally use server-side qpdf for password operations when available on the host.
Availability and limitations
Tools are provided as practical utilities without a promise that every input or output will be error-free. Keep backups of important source documents.
